Customer Review: Battery died and killed Wiimote
Worked well for a few months, and I love the concept. Battery shorted internally somehow (burned through the protective sleve) and killed the Wiimote. NOT HAPPY.
Customer Review: A Good Product, but Buy it Directly from Amazon
The charging station is a great idea, especially if you play your Wii a lot; the rechargeable batteries are supposed to last longer than standard ones, and you don't have to ever remove them - just sit the remotes on the charger. The charger plugs directly into your Wii via the USB port. If you don't want it plugged in all the time, this can be a small problem since the USB ports are at the very back of the Wii unit. Unfortunately, if you use a skin or glove on your Wii remotes, you will have to remove them each time to charge the batteries. But, this is still simpler than having to remove the skin, remove the cover, and then replace the batteries. I would recommend buying directly from Amazon, however. I purchased mine from another seller on Amazon, and it took three weeks to get it, with no communication, and no tracking! If you buy directly from Amazon, it ships quicker, you can get free shipping (with additional purchases), and you can track it the whole way.
